“The stars, the sky... it's all a gigantic hoax, a lie.” about scaramouche was by no means a welcomed addition. if you were to ask anyone else in the Snow Den (particularly his fellow factionmates) they'd be overjoyed to find someone to vent to about him. whether its his generally fickle and rather brutal nature or just his annoying qualities as a whole, it'd be hard to find someone who didn't have a bone to pick with this hat wearing fellow. this doesn't deter him however -- in fact, he often seems to take great pleasure in how people glare at him as he walks by -- nor did it deter thorn. by the word of the Caregiver, he was quickly given a rank and title. in fact, he was even awarded the rank of Third Consort, something that means he's only behind merlin and edelgard for the role of leader should thorn ever step down. "My fury will never be quelled." 
personality to say scaramouche is bitter would be the understatement of the century. most residents of the Snow Den actively avoid him, and those who don't are often left with a reason to do so next time. his comments are scathing, his inspections brutal, and he spares no expense when it comes to his job. at the end of the day though, scaramouche really just wants to do his job and be left alone. this isn't to say he doesn't enjoy how his representation as "the worst of the worst" precedes his actual nature (if it did, he would've shut it down long ago) but even he has moments of peace when it comes to it. there is a reason he has his job after all, despite what Caregiver has done to award him it, he still had to put the work in to keep it. "Your era is coming to an end."
