- Very good friends with Copper; Saffire taught Copper everything they know about diplomacy in terms of clan affairs
Saffire was happy with her life in the wetlands, be it somewhat isolated. Sear was insightful and helpful to her and Oleander, and she had all the lovely trees any girl could wish to be surrounded by, but she grew lonely with such an isolated life.

After talking to Oleander and discovering he felt the same way, they temporarily parted ways with Sear to establish their own clan. It started out small, just a few wayward dragons that came together for the sake of safety in numbers. As more people heard about the self-proclaimed "Outpost of the Overgrown Glades". the group's numbers quickly grew.

Sear eventually joined as well, grumbling about how "it would be easier to have you guys hunt for me anyway". They laughed at her antics but understood it was because she missed her kids.

Saffire and Oleander led the outpost for 13 years before Copper and Sulfate joined. Sulfate quickly climbed the ranks to lead defender and fighter, he had a natural talent for bringing dragons together. Copper began coming along to more and more of Saffire's diplomatic meetings, and before long they were like the clan's left hand.

Time was passing Saffire was growing older. She was still more than capable, but being the leader of a growing outpost was tiring. She and Oleander decided that Copper and Sulfate were best suited to take over, and since then they've been relaxing in their own little section of the clan territory.
