Autumn

Project dragon for my OC, Autumn. She's paired with Shusuke.

Autumn is a young woman who is trying to find her own path in life. While her childhood was more or less stable, she suffered with an absent father & a distant mother, & Autumn found herself struggling early on when she found it difficult to express her feelings openly. This became more difficult as she grew older, unable to explain her anxieties to those around her, thus leaving her to bottle them up instead, not wanting to inconvenience others.

Because of this, Autumn has grown to feel somewhat aimless in life, finding it difficult to express herself openly to her loved ones. While she holds a steady job, she has started to feel unfulfilled within it. This is leading her to try new avenues in life, attempting to fulfill something that makes her feel as if she truly has a purpose in the world.

She is trying to find a reason to justify her existence within it.

Now twenty seven years old, Autumn has taken courses to expand on her love of flowers & plants. While holding a job within a local library, Autumn’s new dream is to eventually own her own business as a florist, eventually expanding on by offering both arrangements & selling plants. While it might seem to be a mundane day to day idea, Autumn has embraced an interest that she finds brings her a little happiness, even when she is alone.

She still holds a relationship with her parents, looking to them for a little support when she can open herself up enough to talk about her feelings to them. When they are able to give advice, she feels better. However, at times her mother still regards her emotions dismissively & her father regards them with realism. Both can bring about the feelings of hardship within her life, & often leave her feeling isolated or alone.

Autumn thrusts herself into her work due to this, having developed issues with sleep due to her anxious thinking. If she can achieve this reasoning to exist & eventually, live an easier life, Autumn takes comfort in her work ethic. One might never see her take a day off, which places her in another position of restlessness as she watches life pass her. It becomes something of a cycle she has loathed, working tirelessly to achieve something that seems so unattainable. For now, however, she is satisfied as a librarian, trying to expand her horizons beyond the words of pages & books.

There is always a little niggling in the back of her head, however, old anxieties that try to creep up again, leaving her to wonder if she’ll ever succeed in her dream of a simple, easy life.
