A shooting star...

Samarask finds the Arcane maladies deeply unnerving. All the suffering of disease without the disease? It feels wrong, an injury from a foreign land invading Fire.

*

Greenskeeper Gathering has brought unprecedented relief to Samarask, who has escaped to the wilds of the Scarred Wasteland to think.

Samarask is a mostly-wild tundra. A rover of the Abiding Boneyard, she was known to Cindercone Clan at a distance during their days on the Plague/Shadow border. Raised in Plague's ideals, she is an expert on fending for herself, foraging for mushrooms and battling for the right to roam where she pleases.

Lonely, and with nothing left to prove, Samarask has recently set out to join the clan proper—or possibly one of their allies, such as the pirates, as staying within the clanhome borders feels constricting and suffocating to her.

While uncouth and prone to settling disputes with claw or at least the threat of her war-teeth, Samarask is not unfriendly, and never starts a fight. The clan-founders see nothing wrong with her attitude, and she gets along quite well with other emigrants from Plague like Terviskhar, Explorer, and Wrysight.

Craft
Samarask has yet to formally settle on a craft, but she has a habit of whittling deadwood with her war-teeth and claws.

Physical description
Samarask is a somewhat large, unnervingly lean tundra, scars and mycelial bundles cording beneath her thick, shaggy fur. Her wings are long and glitter with an abberant form of gembond. Her scent is smoky and fungal. She is a poor flyer and swimmer, primarily through lack of practice, but extremely efficient overland.

Combat
Samarask fights with the fast, strong style of a wild mirror, as is common in Cindercone Clan. She is particularly tenacious, however, and rarely backs down even when seriously bloodied.

Origin
Samarask is a daughter of Haskaharr's first nest out in the wilds of the untamed borderlands, when Northslope's Kalura encountered him in one of her pilgrimages to pay homage to her father's native flight.

Kin
Samarask is the daughter of Cindercone Clan's warrior-smith Haskaharr, and Northslope Clan's enigmatic Kalura, daughter of Driftwood Shore's infamous Rennic and almost-as-infamous Gillis. As such, she is the half-sister of clan-child Firestone and the wayward Tulimyrsky of the Eridanus Conclave, and full-sister of the long-absent Sunfall of the broken Amber Caldera.

Samarask also enjoys a bond to Kellinlii, whose similar interests and proclivities, and on-and-off nesting habit with Haskaharr have made her somewhat Samarask's aunt.

Familiar
Bloodsong is a recent partner for Samarask. While still flighty and wild, the gryphon enjoys a symbiosis with the tundra—each keeping watch while the other sleeps. Samarask also helps to flush the small prey animals when the hunting is poor.

Exalting Samarask to the service of the Flamecaller will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
