Every Guardian to walk this earth has had a purpose to protect. A Guardian is willing to ensure the safety of the one it guards, even with it’s dying breath. They are seen as the knights of the world, bold and unafraid and regal.

Saelius knows that she fits the description… for the most part.

The land of Mistwood is her ward, to protect and defend from those who wish to do her home harm. The only issue is… she can’t find her way out of a paper bag. Even when she was a wee nestling, where she lived in a very navigable area, she had to ask strangers directions to get back home.

Thankfully, in her pursuits of finding home she found Vayle.
The two became fast friends and traversed the world together in twin pursuit of wards, eventually finding kinship in their trouble and becoming mates. Vayle is her guiding light, both figuratively and literally. While she’s glad they have found a loving home in Mistwood, she wishes the fog wasn’t so Tidelord dang persistent.

Saelis often keeps a small memento from her parents with her, she finds its warm glow a fond reminder that if her parents, children of the Tidelord, can find solace in a fiery pit, then she can make a home wherever Vayle is found. Another gift, this time from her beloved Vayle. It was given to her with the hope she would ring the bells wherever lost so her mate can more easily find her in the fog. Unfortunately, she often doesn’t realize she’s lost. Given to her by Vayle early into them knowing each other. Saelius only realized the romantic meaning of the gift two years later. Hilarity ensued, and it’s often joked that Vayle could’ve made her true intentions known more clearly that night and it may still have taken her the two years to remember their union.
