Sophre's different from the other dragons. He's smaller than they are, and not as fast or as strong. His body is clumsy and awkward, and when he runs too much, his heart sometimes pounds until he feels dizzy and struggles to breathe. A lot of things are harder for him than they are for the others, and sometimes he gets frustrated, even angry, when he can't understand what they're trying to teach him, or they can't understand what he says. He keeps trying, though! He doesn't give up, and his friends help him again and again. He's learning to read now, and reading is great. His dad is even teaching him how to hunt and track.

C'mon, Soph! his dad calls as he pounces and misses and pounces again. You can do it!"

» Liann and Tali have a great time dressing Sophre up whenever there's an opportunity. He loves it.

» Sophre has endless enthusiasm for scavenging. He's good at it, too, with a knack for spotting half-hidden items (as long as he's wearing his glasses) and coming up with creative if not always practical uses for scrap.

» His favorite dragons are Boris, Lumen (although he can be annoyingly overprotective sometimes), Tali, and of course his dad, Tik, but his very best friend is Morf. Morf is big and soft, and he can't talk, but he's an excellent listener. Sophre likes to curl up against him when practicing reading.
