Lamar is an enthusiastic alchemist who loves experimenting and trying new, wild things. Her favorite activity is producing and researching anomalies, and any day when an experiment produces an unexpected result is a good day for her.

There is absolutely no scientific method to what Lamar does in the alchemy lab. All of her research is entirely vibe-based and usually too fast paced for any outsider to keep track. In all honesty, Lamar's thoughts are often too fast paced even for herself. When she's in the middle of a discovery, she absolutely does not have the time or patience to use pen and paper to scribble down her findings. Instead she's taken to writing her notes on the laboratory's walls with whatever substance she happens to have on hand. Nerissa has accepted this as interior decoration.

Lamar's infinite optimism gets her through even the most disastrous of failures and into new successes. She will test her own experimental potions on herself and nobody can stop her, though Nerissa can usually talk her out of ingesting any actually dangerous concoctions.

The brightly colored spiral gets along with most of the clan, her infectiously bubbly nature easily rubbing off on others. Her only tense relationship is with Eldi, whose approach to science simply clashes too wildly with her own.

Nerissa and Lamar are "parents" - for lack of a better word - to Frida, a sentient experiment they've managed to conduct together during their time in the clan. Lamar doesn't really harbor any maternal feelings towards Frida, thinking of herself more like a cool aunt, but out of the two alchemists she's definitely the Fun Mom™ for them.
