Luminoir

Luminoir was born during the longest, darkest night in Sorenith's memory. They said that she would be unlucky, that no one would like her and she would always have grief and troubles no matter what she did. The stars took pity on Luminoir and gathered in her scales. Now you will share our luck, they told her. Still, she was quite dark and slipped easily through the shadows unnoticed for an entire moon cycle. The first time that Luminoir saw the full moon in all it's pale and alien glory, she said to the moon, "The stars join me as companions wherever I travel. I know that you are far away and far larger than me, dear moon, but I so long to have you with me during the times I cannot see you very well." The moon was used to compliments and flattery but never had anyone asked for its company. And so the moon reached out to touch Luminoir and icy whiteness spread over her scales. Wherever you are, I will be as well, the moon told her.
