Biography

  • Comes from the Underground, a formerly underground society in Dragonhome
  • Underground was extremely dangerous – kill or be killed
  • Very weak immune system, gets sick very easily
  • His sickly nature is a sore spot
  • Despite scar over left eye, is blind in right (right eye doesn't glow either)
  • Jokester and prankster, has a bit of a morbid sense of humor, loves bad puns/jokes
  • Very lazy
  • Raised Papyrus after death of parents when they were young
  • Adores Papyrus
  • Occasionally allows Papyrus to watch over pearl when feeling particularly bad/tired. Trusts him implicitly.
  • Former sentry in Underground
  • Loves mustard seeds
  • Friends with Undyne and Alphys
  • Familiar = Hellhound, "mustard"
  • In Underground, used his status as a regular at Grillby’s + status as a “weakling” to listen in on others’ conversations and gather information for Papyrus/Undyne. Big on information gathering. This inevitably leads to him knowing All The Gossip, although he isn’t looking for that specifically. He does enjoy going off on tangents at Papyrus about who’s cheating on who, or what have you, just to irritate his brother. Very good at fading into the background; other dragons rarely notice him when they talk. Always on the listen for important information – who’s part of the newest rebellion, who’s planning on staging a coup, who’s planning to attack the Royal Guard/shopkeepers/random residents, who hates his or his brother’s guts, etc.
  • Keeps this habit even after escaping the Underground and moving to Lanternlea. Can often be found frequenting seedier bars.
  • Avoids high class Pearlcatchers (aka ones that perpetuate the breed’s catty/cowardly stereotype). Hates ones who regard Imperials with disdain. Doesn’t like/understand breed or flight superiorists/purists.
  • When they first arrived to Lanternlea, he heard of a group of high class Pearlcatchers known as The Guild, who are know for dealing in gossip. They are mostly Light dragons, with a few of Wind or occasionally Nature/Water origin. He thought they’d be a good source of information, since they’d probably know everything about everyone. He was wrong. The first time he came home from a meeting with some of them, he complained to the others for a good hour. They deal in what he calls “useless, petty gossip.” It’s mostly about who’s wearing the latest fashion, or who got a high-end job, or which dragon was found consorting with a – gasp! – Imperial! As a secondary information source it’ll be up fairly useful, to help him figure out alliances and status of the wealthy, but as a primary source of information it’s absolutely useless. But hey, they’ve been known to trade items for particularly juicy bits of information. Granted, it’s all what he calls “pretty but useless junk” – fine jewelry and delicate trinkets and pretty baubles – but it’ll fetch a pretty high price, and the kids might like something as a souvenir. Plus sometimes something will be made out of something actually useful for Alphys to melt down and use in her tinkering. Better yet, the useful stuff (copper, iron, etc.) tends to be worth less in their eyes! At least he finally has a use for all the useless gossip he hears when information gathering. And he can still irritate Papyrus with it.

Two black dragons with skeletal markings stand side-by-side. The dragon on the right has bright red wings, a fur-trimmed black coat, and a scar over a glowing red eye. His mouth is open in a mischievous grin. The dragon on the left is much larger, with darker red wings and a red scarf. Both his eyes glow red, and he is scowling.
