{Lore}
It had been a typical dark day in Foxfire Grove when a pair of hunting mirrors heard the whining of a hungry hatchling. Freyja found her way into a thicket of brambles where the sounds were coming from. A little young mirror was entangled there, whimpering. The poor thing was emaciated and scratched up from the brambles. Shadowblood and Freyja managed to free the young arcane dragon from the entanglement and took her back to their makeshift campground near a little stream nestled between the trees.
The hatchling was clearly too young to know where it had come from, so Freyja adopted her as one of their own and named her Arlanna. When the mirror child grew up, her hide became speckled with darker flecks of color.
Only when Arlanna went on a hunting trip with Shadowblood and Frejya, she discovered her infatuation with fire. One of the enemies cast a ball of fire that soared harmlessly past her, but it set some nearby bracken aflame. While the young mirror was focused on observing the crackling, warm flames, an Owlcat attacked her and wounded her almost fatally. Shadowblood managed to fend the creature off while Freyja escaped with the young mirror.
While Arlanna was recovering, the two mirrors remained in their camp to make sure she was tended to. That was around the time that their remaining child, Nightshred, returned home from going on an independent hunt. He was surprised by the newcomer, but grew to know her closely as his parents left the nest to go hunt while he guarded her.
Once she was healed, weeks after her incident, she started to learn how to harness magical energies that manifested itself in the form of her power to heal. Excited by the development, Arlanna went with her two adopted parents again on a hunt. Her abilities proved useful when they got into a scuffle with a few other hunting dragons. Healed and re-invigorated, they continued to hunt.
After a long hunting trip, just about three months into her life, Shadowblood and Freyja traveled to the Arcane realm to meet with two dragons they had formed an alliance with. There they picked up Truthseeker, who was a fluffy young Tundra. Arlanna had wondered why, but the little Fae conducting the exchange said that Shadowblood had traded them one of their children in exchange for one of theirs--Truthseeker--as a sign of goodwill and trust.
When they returned home, Arlanna was greatly excited to be around another Arcane dragon, especially one that was learning the magical arts of healing as well. Being so young, and around another happy, friendly dragon encouraged the rapid growth rate of her healing skills. That made the mirror insanely grateful, more often than not.
This Arcane dragon is incredibly friendly and is almost always smiling. She claims that everyone can be her friend. Shadowblood and Freyja both were always confused by the other mirror's strange enthusiasm towards others. The Patriarch always joked that maybe she lost too much blood during that Owlcat attack. Freyja personally thinks it to be the fact that she was raised with compassion and care, rather than disinterest and anger. Freyja, the Matriarch, still sometimes refers to Arlanna as her adopted child. Such sentiment is not lost on Arlanna, as she frequently goes to Freyja and affectionately bumps her head against hers.
