Biography
GREMLIN
Troublemaker | System Destroyer | Mad Scientist
When something goes wrong in one of the many lightning labs and projects, you usually hear “You might have a bug in the system!”. Well, you might. Or worse: you may have a Gremlin.
“Machine Madness” some call it, the irresistible urge to look closer in the gears and wires than necessary. To maybe… nibble on the wires, just to see how they taste. Those who spend too long locked in a lab or project may start to have Gremlin thoughts, and have their scales and fur turn glowing bright colors bathed in black, vicious markings marring what used to be their normal patterns and colors. Some grow bony spikes along their bodies, ready to start hacking away at neat coils and wires they prefer. Their eyes turn feral in seconds, just before the trouble starts.
Everyone knows that office pranks are often the work of Steve and his interns, but bigger problems? You’ve got a Gremlin on your hands. Completely chewing through wires and cables, stealing or mucking up your gears, or worse: nesting in the bowels of your machine, wreaking havoc in everything in the vicinity by their very presence and urge to prowl and hoard.
Once a Gremlin turns, there is no going back. They can only be removed from the big machinery rooms, the great collections of wires, and set loose into the sands, where they will track down other clans, lightning or not, and see what other kinds of trouble they can get into.
Many do find their way back into the great lightning farm, and entire floors of labs clock in for the day only to find the spire dark, because a Gremlin has managed to steal every working light source and created a hoard in the middle of the basement, grinning madly at their great work.
