Minakshi

Minakshi silently drifted through the eerily soundless forest, the creature tracking her couldn't be that far behind her, the creepy silence of the forest was proof of that. A faint rustle of leaves stopped her movements, heart pounding, she paused with bated breath as the leaves settled. The wind then? Should she take flight? Minakshi decided, no, not yet. She wasn't the most subtle flyer, she was better in the water, her scales and shimmery mane blending well in the sparkle of the sea, camouflaging her. Here though? In the Autumn colored leaves, where even at night she shined like the Sparkle Nymphs of the Light, she was not safe. She needed to be smart if she wanted to make it to her destination.

Minakshi scented the air, she believed she was getting close to the Light, the Sparkle Nymphs scent had been nearby recently, meaning she was nearing the Lair of her new beginning. She needed to move quicker, the creature did not care for the water and there was a freshwater lake close by according to the directions she got from another traveler, after leaving her old Lair. She couldn't call that place her home, deep in her soul, she never felt relaxed or comfortable and the place she was headed to sounded promising, a better life with new dragons that didn't leave at a drop of a pebble. Friends that wouldn't leave her.

Only the crunch of fallen foliage gave her the warning she needed, because the monstrous creature that had taken to hunting her, appeared out of her periphery. Adrenaline shot through her at a dizzying amount. Wide-eyed, her eyes glowed, and she bit back a curse as she leaped into the air. Panic stricken, and cursing up a storm in her mind, and she hoped her new clanmates didn't care for her cursing (she could always curse in the hilarious way when she was around Hatchlings, her favorite saying, "Fluff you, you fluffing fluff!", they would always giggle at it and it was one of the few joys it brought her). She flew above the trees toward where she knew the water was settled.

Setting her sights on the crystal clear shine of the lake, Minakshi plunged in with a hardly a ripple. She loved the water and was pleased that her new home would be close to this beautiful scenery. Even with her annoying pursuer, it didn't diminish her excitement. She would just wait out the creature, she could hold her breath for a good length of time and she wasn't too worried now. The creature didn't follow her in and she could explore the lake bottom for a while. Happiness danced in here eyes, she could already spot some interesting landscapes deep down she could explore.

"Yes, I think I'll fluffing love it here!" She marveled later after she was safe in her new home.
