Biography

Kyromis has always been a warrior. Ever since he was little he fought imaginary enemies, and more than once his mother found her kitchen knives outside their den, dented and rusty. He uses his size to his advantage, relying on brute force. One day after he had become an adult, he ran off to seek adventure. He found a friend along the way, a blue Fae named Spirit. She was much smaller than him, and when he first saw her, he knew he would do anything for this dragon. He didn't say anything about this to her, but even though he let her fight by his side, he always tried to protect her before himself.

Together the two travelled across Sornieth, battling enemies and picking up many new friends along the way. Kyromis found a rusty cleaver after one of his battles and has worn it since, as he remembers using similar weapons as a hatchling. He doesn't really use it, though; it's mostly for show.

After a few years of travelling, the two came across a small group of dragons on the edge of the Arcanist's territory who were outcasts in some way or another. The dragons were welcoming, but after they left, Kyromis noticed Spirit was preoccupied often, lost in thought. He soon realized it was because of the dragons she's seen. He finally suggested making a sanctuary, a safe space for dragons of all kinds to come and stay for as long as they needed it. She told him she'd think about it, and indeed she did. She stayed up late that night, drawing all sorts of plans for the sanctuary. He watched as she did, admiring her work and making suggestions as she drew. She eventually decided the sanctuary would be located on the Reclaimer's Glacier, because she was formerly a high-ranking Ice dragon and felt certain she could convince the Icewarden to help her. Kyromis didn't think it such a good idea, given how many dragons disappeared there, but he agreed in order to convince her to go to sleep. When he was sure she was, he started to figure out the details of how to make the sanctuary work, from transporting the materials they'd need to build it to getting food for all the dragons that might come.
The next morning, they began the journey to the Southern Icefields. When they arrived, Spirit immediately went to the Icewarden to ask his help, while Kyromis went to find warriors to help him gather the food they'd need. He found a blue-and-green Mirror named Destyon who seemed willing to help, and he travelled to the Scarred Wasteland to train him for battle.

When they arrived back at the Southern Icefields, he found Spirit had already started building. She had found a system of caverns in the Reclaimer's Glacier and had sectioned off parts of it to form a rough den. Kyromis immediately started stocking the den with the food he and Desyton had gathered and laying the foundation for a large fireplace for dragons to gather around.

After a month or two of building, Sanctuary was complete. Some dragons had already joined the small group, blown in by the storms that came out of nowhere on the icy plains, and a few had decided to stay after they recovered. The group did run into a bit of resistance, as there was a warrior band of Plague dragons living fairly close by, but Kyromis and Spirit met with the leaders, Skydancer sisters Wryth and Andromeda, and came to an agreement: any Plague dragons could be directed to the Plaguelings if they so chose, and any dragons that wanted to leave would be welcomed at Sanctuary.

Kyromis continues to be the clan's top food provider, since Spirit is often busy. He also travels to friendly clans occasionally to help them train their own dragons. Spirit still joins him in battles occasionally, and while she has grown into a great fighter, he always makes sure she is kept safe above himself. He doesn't know if she feels the same towards him as he does for her; he hopes so but worries she only sees him as a close friend. Maybe someday...
