Once upon a time, Moon and Day were just a pair of tiny white new-hatched fuzz-balls we brought home because Osy and Crow were so sad about not being able to make babies together and so happy to have little ones to love.

Two days later, Moon was almost as big as Crow.
Two days after that, Moon was bigger than Osy.
The day after that, the grrls hit a) puberty and b) the Coliseum like a ton of bricks. Came home with a bunch of loot for their daddies and the announcement that they needed a place of their own.

Well, they and the bois got to work hollowing a second cavern out of the rock above the Tundra tunnels, with a back way out so they can go out hunting and fighting-- they're pretty good about washing up before they come home, but they like to have options. Honestly, the rest of us don't know what they get up to up there-- the growling gets pretty loud sometimes-- but their daddies just smile and still think they're the cutest things ever.
