I headcanon that Lief, like her name, is a friendly dragon, although somewhat idiosyncratic. She seems like she'd be willing to help a friendly dragon who she meets in the woods, but also like she is very capable and willing to defend herself if the other dragon is aggressive.

  • If Lief decides someone is friendly, then that’s it. She’s going to protect them no matter what. After all, that’s what friends do. Sometimes Lief might get a bit overzealous when trying to keep her friends from harm, but will calm down if things are explained to her.
  • Blends in really well with her surroundings. Sometimes no one’s sure if that shadow is actually her or just a trick of the light.
  • Lief doesn’t really know much about the world, but she’s keen to learn. She loves hearing stories from travellers or other visitors.
  • Despite the fact that she’s protective of her friends, Lief isn’t particularly keen on fighting. She will if she absolutely has to, but otherwise she prefers to either talk about things or just keep out of the way.
