Arinar awoke as a young hatching in the pooring rain one desolate morning to find her family dead, victims of a Beastclans attack. She wasn't old enough to understand what had happened, so she laid down next to her mother and waited for her to wake up. The only reason Arinar did not starve is because Alaska happened upon the little dragonet on a daily walk through the Deepwoods.
The rest of the dragons of the Fringe were mystified. They had never seen a dragon like this! Harsh spikes ran down her back and smoke drifted wherever she went. Even Alina had no clue! Confused, they took her to see Breccan, where he confirmed that she was part of a long lost ancient breed of dragon like he was. Alaska lovingly adopted her and raised her, and eventually the rest of the dragons came to love her.
When Arinar came of age, she went through the Ceremony of Choice. When asked if she wanted to go serve the gods or stay and help patrol the Deepwoods, she made a surprising choice. Neither. "Let me see the world in all its glory!" She exclaimed. "Let me journey far and wide, to places unheard of until now. I wish to travel until my feet are heavy and my body aches for rest. This is the life for me, and so be it!" Alina was shocked, but eventually let the dragon get what she wanted. The very next day, Arinar bid farewell to the dragons she had known all her life and set out into the Deepwoods, her heart singing a song of adventure.

While making her way through the Deepwoods Arianr takes to the skies quickly and soars with giddy happiness. While on her travels from the Deepwoods she comes across another banescale named Ariel. Arianr and Ariel converse for a time before she’s introduced her Ariel’s brother Deangelo. The three bond over the fact they were all adopted into clans that cherished and love them dearly. Ariel and her brother Deangelo wish her good luck on her journey and hope to meet up again during her travels. As she’s leaving they also call out saying she’s more then welcome to stay anytime in their clan.
