Tillandsia returned to the clearing where she'd found the strange Hivemind termination unit attempting to eliminate the rejected Hivemind hatchlings. She regretted rescuing only twelve of the thirteen. The stranger's body was gone, but to her surprise, there was another hatchling similar to the first twelve sitting quietly where the body had been.
Not knowing any better, she picked him up and brought him back to the lair. Irulan doesn't know what to make of him, but has yet to give voice to her concerns. Irulan sarcastically dubbed him Ici, or "here", because she has no way of determining where his true loyalty lies. Despite the new clan relying on her young but well-travelled and esoterically educated background, no one dragon can know everything. She, and the clan, may come to regret her lack of a direct statement of doubt.
STATUS: DEPLOYED SUCCESSFULLY
ROLE: Observer of the Appropriated Subjects dubbed the Hivemind 12 and their new lair, Clan Acadie

NON-EXPENDABLE
A grandchild of the CONSCIOUSNESS, this Drone has more sentience than most Drones. For unknown reasons, it has more than enough sentience to make simple, limited decisions and survive on its own without the constant presence of the Hivemind, allowing it to blend in to infiltrate a lair then report their observations back to the Hive. The CONSCIOUSNESS wishes to learn of its neighboring community, its inner workings, its strengths and mistakes and failures. Learning is the path forward, the best route to growing stronger and assimilating the weak dragonkind resistance.

Subjects located. Unit that took this one to the lair eliminated the termination Drone and appropriated the Subjects. Suppositions about the defective they call Chlorion, the one designated 9/13, correct. Sentience of 9/13 is exceptionally high. Clan will be difficult to deceive. This is a lair of deception. At least one other unit is aware of the Hive. Do not recommend frontal attack at this time. Lair has many advanced tactical battle-ready units. Advise.

Infiltration is still successful. Have not taken any overt action in order to allay suspicion as directed. Subjects have progressed toward sentience. Advise.
