Korra

(got her august 29th)

Korra There weren't many dragons alive after what the arcanist did, Korra was not alive either. But the dragon who cursed her was. A dragon that hated the arcanist for everything he did, one who sought to stop the arcanist. No one knows who this dragon was and Korra has never spoke of his name, but it was someone. Korra was born with the gift of magic, she could do practically anything she wanted as long as she let herself rest. There were things she could not do of course; like healing, casting a spell of death, creating a creature of magic. Her magic skills grew and grew until one day a mysterious dragon appeared as she was training. It told her that her skills were amazing, that she should train with another great magic user. Someone who would make her even more powerful. Korra was brought into the trap, she visited this most powerful magic user, who told her he could indeed teach her. He did, partially. But one fateful day when she was still a youthful dragon, she was bragging about how cool and superior the arcane magic is. The other dragons that were training with Korra argued with her, and this made Korra's temper rise. They argued and argued with her, and as the argument continued Korra's temper rose. It wasn't long before she snapped and cast a spell that would cause the trainees to be encased in crystal and become mute so that they would be trapped.

Anger flashed in her eyes and she flipped around as a voice yelled at her. Her trainer stood there, his lips were pulled back in a snarl and his eyes were filled with pure hatred. His voice echoed off the crystalline training grounds. "You UNGRATEFUL little BUG. Powers are gifts that dragons like YOU corrupt. The arcanist NEVER should have had powers, and neither should you! You cause chaos in your wake, and forever until your end you will be cursed. Every magic spell you cast a flower will grow from your scales. Eventually your body will give way to garden, and your existence will cease." A bright light flashed as an icy pain clutched around her scales. She tried to stand but sleepiness overtook her and she slumped to the ground. When she awoke she found herself on cold stone, the starry night sky above her, and crystals reaching out to the darkness. She was on a lone floating island, one that was gently rotating around. She wasn't sure how many days it had been since she fell asleep but her stomach ached. She wasn't sure how much was a dream and how much wasn't so as a test, she cast a spell to guide her island to some more solid land. The spell worked but her shoulder started to ache. She blamed it on the training and sat patiently as the island moved. She carried on trying to find someone or something to eat. As she was going she found a puddle to look in and to her dismay, there was a glowy flower on her shoulder. Her anger got the best of her and she destroyed the area around her. Crystals shattered and grass torn to shreds. Korra has never quite recovered from the incident. Many of the flowers she has now are because she tried multiple different type of spells to rid of the curse. Others are because of old habits and others because of necessities. Constantly she is reminded of her curse as others around her get to happily use their magic. Instead of using her experience to learn how to be better she grew bitter, angry at the world and distrusting of dragons. She hated the Arcanist for a little while, wishing she never had magic, but it was not long before she remembered the blessing it was. As time has gone on the curse has changed, not only do flowers appear when she casts a spell but also the flowers will start to draw some of her energy and also can be painful. Korra at face-value is an bitter, judgmental, strict, and all around mean dragon. However, when you get to know her more she is bitter, judgmental, and strict dragon. However, if you REALLY know her, you see how broken she is. She puts up a wall so that no one can see her pain.

Representative Its a surprise to many dragons that Korra is rep, hard to believe she helps teach anyone with her attitude towards magic. Korra originally joined the clan hearing about a sorcerer who could possibly help her curse, a dragon named Starlet. Slowly Korra got more involved in the clan, slowly she began to educate others on magic. It developed into her talking about arcane and eventually being asked to become a rep. She was hesitant and despised other reps for having free magic but her desire to teach others overcame that. Now Korra educates others about what arcane is about, including who the Arcanist is and how he is important to everyone's story. She helps arcane dragons get used to the new home, tells them where all the best stargazing places are, and other things. She of course educates dragons on how to use magic, teaches them spells. Though, with her attitude she's caused many hatchlings to fall out of love with magic.

Fam Story Korra cause her fam, Aelfdene, as it seemed to approve with that one the most. It is unclear what it actually is or what its gender truly is (it/its seem to please it the most). Though it takes the form of a fox, its space appearance floats around in the general shape of a fox. Many times will you see its form flash through many different looks before settling on the fox. Altair and Shaeffer don't recognize the stars that cover its pelt and Scrungo suggests that it may be a creature that travels dimensions and perhaps exists in multiple at once. In touching it, it will explode into glittery dust and take its form elsewhere. It appeared one day while she was sleeping, she woke up and found a fox staring at her. No pupils looked back at her, but she could tell it was looking at her. Its followed her around ever since that day.

Relationships (thoughts from Korra) Amor: My lovely husband, I don't feel like I need to explain to you why he's ranked the highest. I will tell you, that nothing compares to being loved by him. Starlet: He's the reason i'm in this clan, so I suppose I owe him that, though that isn't always a good thing. He's a powerful skydancer and knows his way around magic. I'm appreciative of his help.

Altair: No, I wouldn't say we are good friends, but I can enjoy talking to him at least. Its nice to talk to him about his findings.
Uralimpiel: She's a newer sorcerer skydancer, I doubt even Evangeline and Mudslide know she joined. She's got a lot of experience about curses too, makes it easier for us to get along. Unfair that she was cursed into magic and I was cursed out, but we didn't choose this.
Evangeline: Its nice that she let me stay in the clan I suppose, though I often wonder if its just because she feels bad for me. She's a fine leader I suppose.
Mudslide: I don't like all the decisions he makes but he's a respectable leader.
Cyanide: He's a rep I can semi get along with. His curse is pretty fascinating to me, ridiculous that he could have avoided it though. Our conversations are nice.
Hessonite: We've talked a few times about my curse, but it stumped him. He checks up on me every so often, but I'm not exactly "plagued." He doesn't engage in conversations much, doesn't seem to be too plussed about being in nature.
Luck: His magic is quite...interesting. A curse but also not? Don't really listen to what he says, we did just fine without a shadow rep before.
Shaeffer: We've argued a few times but he's a respectable arcane dragon. He knows what he is talking about.
Mazer: I don't really get what makes her so special, her powers are pretty harmless. We don't talk so I don't have many problems with her.
Windkeeper: Meh. I don't see the hype. Yeah she does a lot for the clan but she's an eh dragon. Definitely argued with her, she's also usually the one to shut-down my arguments.
Reef: He's a good rep, and not having any powers gives him a higher position in my relations with him but we just are too different to be friends. Sometimes I feel like he tries too hard to be all "oceany" "go with the flow" "ooh the ocean." Also a tundra, swimming? That makes me chuckle.
Carnival: He's quiet. Not sure what he thinks of me but I do my best to engage with him when its needed. His powers are, okay, clearly not going to cause any harm (other than the number of times he's accidentally blinded me).
Prometheus: I'm suspicious, he seems too chill for a fire dragon. I suppose that might be falling into a bit of a stereotype but something seems off. Everyone loves him, I sure don't though.
Isthari: She's interesting, quite the puzzle that one. Never speaks but is just there. I wish I knew what went on in that brain.
Saturn: I just don't talk with her. Her magic could be pretty helpful and she could learn how to get all the familiars to stay familiars IF she would listen to me.
Marvo: She's there. No clue what her power is, so that makes me worried but she's not causing any problems for now. Not a big fan of being around her, the shadows that float about her try and touch too often.
Terra: Not sure what her power is but having only seen her cleaning dead animal bones doesn't make me want to find out.
Clayros: Ah the royal prince, he's not as annoying as his sister but I hate hearing that mirror shout orders. I have the urge to throw something at him each time.
Zephyr: Blergh. Everyone is always fawning over her, if they would stop you would notice she's not as good as everyone thinks. She's got something magic going on, I don't like it.
Alstroemeria: Artificial magic, wouldn't stick around her too long. Not a fan of her whole procedure.
Valyria: She needs to stop messing with magic before someone get's hurt.
Freckle: If he would stop sticking his nose in my business I would stop sticking mine in his. Jealous? About his scales? I would hardly say that. I don't know what I would say but i'm not telling you.
Sacred: There is a good reason why the skydancers are on a separate island. If I wasn't cursed I would argue and fight with her SO GOOD.
Redwood: Yeah, she's got a pretty special power but being the leader's first daughter and having a great power doesn't mean I need to like her. She should be training instead of building up a flower kingdom.
