Caladium is the daughter of Eun (the fourth Lair Leader and a second generation Lair Scholar). She was set to follow in her father’s footsteps, yet like all the other progeny of Jachitzfar, she had different interests. She spent her time reading cooking books, and by the time she reached adolescence, she spent more time in the kitchen than she did in the library. Eun was extremely supportive of her passion, just as he supported Dencjagn’s choice to be a hoard keeper rather than a Scholar.

Prior to Caladium taking over the Lair Kitchen, all meals were prepared at random, as a duty passed between different clan members. Half the time, cooking duties landed on some rather uninspired dragons, leading to the rest of the clan having equally uninspired days. Her research in culinary arts brought a food revolution through the clan. Traveling dragons smuggled exotic foods from far-away lands, while others interrogated old great-great-grandmother dragons for their flight-famous recipes so that Caladium could reproduce them. She had such a huge impact on the clan that bonded them closer than ever before. Who knew, food was the way to a dragon’s heart.

Caladium met Skorn when Litraeyer brought him back after a several day long expedition. She fell in love with the poor thing and nursed him back to good health with the help of Tzaporian. While it did take a little while to fully gain his trust, Skorn eventually adored Caladium and grew extremely to close her. The favorite part of his job is using his scythe to chop up food for his favorite meal; Veggie Stew and Rice with a side of Roasted Sugarmelon.
