Biography
Mouse
Benek, due to his professions as a tomb raider and archaeologist, is frequently on the move. He's extremely strict and paranoid, and tends to be emotionally distant and oblivious to others' wants and needs. Being obsessed with greed leads him to unintentionally putting all other duties on the back burner and disappearing for weeks at at time without communicating his whereabouts to anyone (even Betu).
He doesn't see the point of confiding in anyone, nor is interested in affiliating with any clan. What if they get wind of his discoveries? He agrees to nest with Betu solely to keep her busy, and isn't aware or curious of what actually happens to his offspring since he disappears for so long between clutches.
Betu, arguably just as emotionally cold as her mate, is on an quest to replace her broken pearl, which happened while she enacted her escape from a prison during a bad snowstorm in the Icefields. Her quest is the only reason tying her to Benek; she doesn't truly care for him or his work, and his disappearances are a welcome relief.
When her hatchlings regurgitate their new pearls, she immediately takes and closely inspects them. If she considers one to be 'perfect', she keeps it for herself, but if the pearl doesn't meet her standards she destroys it. She doesn't care about the hatchlings themselves since she abandons them at the first chance she gets, either with other dragons or left to fend for themselves in the wild.
The hatchlings' lives tend to be quite the struggle if they're able to survive.

TEMPLATE AND BIO INFO BY XEMRISS #44020;
Mouse had a rough life from the start. At just a few hours old, she had watched her mother take her pearl and smash it to pieces. She felt cold and empty as she sat, crouched down and huddled, on the ground. Just a day later, her mother had taken her out of the nest and deep into the forest before simply leaving her there. Mouse had named herself after one of the little creatures she saw scurrying about. She was ineffecient at finding her own food, but at least had quickly found water. She wandered about, deeper into the forest, resting frequently and catching what little insects she could. She didn't even know what plants were safe. As she grew, she got a little better at it, a little stronger, though she was still scrawny.
Finally, she came to a village. At first, she hid in the edges of the forest, simply observing the busy clan. The dragons seemed to always have something to do, somewhere to be. She watched as a mother cared for her hatchlings, and suddenly understood that her mother had been different, not a real mother. She watched a young female pearlcatcher shine and protect her pearl, and felt a stab of envy. She would never have that.
She made her presence known and was quickly accepted by Pine into the village, who took in wandering strangers all the time. She was stared at frequently due to her missing pearl, but talked to no one. She stayed in her lair, worked in the garden, and kept to herself. With a lot of effort and patience from Mareneth, she eventually had one friend. Mouse opened up to her about her pearl and her mother. Instead of being disgusted by her lack of pearl, Mareneth was understanding and reassuring. They quickly became the best of friends, and Mouse started to feel a little more whole. Mareneth and even her made, Kielek, were accepting. Mouse started opening up more to others as well, and while sometimes she was still stared at, she was accepted a little more, and eventually made Jade as a friend, though some strangers would still stare in disgust.
Mouse still wondered frequently about what became of her siblings, and wondered if her mother would have more hatchlings.

Mouse has no mate at this time.
Mouse is a quiet dragon. She prefers to keep to herself, doesn't like socializing with strange dragons, and hated being stared at. She is a hardworking dragon, and doesn't mind getting dirty. She has some bad traits, like her lack of forgiving and lack of sympathy towards a dragon when they've badly messed up in accordance to her morals.
For a while, she felt very empty. She didn't know who she was or what she liked. She hated her lack of a pearl. After she started to make friends, she felt a little better. She learned she liked to read, and was very dutiful about finishing a book. She liked to watch the little hatchlings for their parents when they would hunt. She started to know herself.
