Heights
The frosted mountainous region of Sigvard soaked up the last remnants of the winter dusk in an aggressive, lurid, almost brutal display of blue, purple, and peach. The fading brightness contrasted terribly with the situation at hand, however, taking place near the edge of the Northern river lands. Hidden deep within the forests, Tachanka, the noble and wealthy dragon who handled all business-related affairs of Sigvard, held a small, elderly Skydancer by the throat over the edge of a precarious cliffside—directly above a rushing, freezing river.
The Skydancer whimpered and squirmed, desperately clawing at Tachanka’s tight grasp, but the Pearlcatcher merely huffed and rolled his eyes.
— I-I-I paid! — the Skydancer gasped. His voice was raspy and hoarse, as if he’d been screaming for hours.
—You were late, — Tachanka said slowly.
Behind him, concealed by the drooping branches and overgrowth covered with an array of silvery thorns and forked boughs, Tachanka’s wife Hannah lounged lazily in the snow. She adored her husband dearly, but he really did make his tax collection endeavors quite theatrical. She was bored, and wanted to go home.
After a lengthy contemplation, Tachanka brought the quivering Skydancer back to solid ground. Just as the terrified dragon began to mutter his thanks, Tachanka pierced the junction where his wing met his back, coming away with a mouthful of bloody flesh and spitting it out at his feet. Hannah’s ears perked up at the action, and she meandered over to see the raucous.
— You have one week to pay me what I’m owed. — Tachanka growled at the crying Skydancer, who pitifully nuzzled his gaping wound as he huddled into himself.
Hannah nudged her husband’s side, being mindful of her antlers. Tachanka wrapped a wing around Hannah, turning to leave before stopping.
— And…let’s double the interest this time. — He smirked darkly, swishing his tail back and forth with Hannah striding confidently by his side as night enveloped them both.

The coin Tachanka was born on a very noble family, and ever he enjoyed a lot the high status and wealth but had also a taste for aggressive sports and was also a mathematical mind. He escaleted very quick in life and became one of the most important business man owning lots of cassino and clubs around the town and making a life loaning money and dealing with the ones who don't pay to him what is owed. He's married with the beautiful Hannah owner of a funnerary company who is often seen together with in big parties or in one of his many cassinos. Prior to marrying to her, Tachanka had lots of women life ruined and lots of offspring, a father of many. To a strong and aggressive personality Tachanka is very fond of cats and has three on his house, which he loves and cares with his soul like they are precious diamonds. |
