Uh-oh, looks like this metal-hoarding bogsneak wandered a little too far from his home lair (#363800), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread. This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful! A prospector on the never-ending greedy quest for gold, Favourite left his clan in the Tangled Wood to search for riches and adventure! Favourite arrived first in a city called the Lightweaver's Shadow. The city was fairly close to his homeland. It was a massive city, full of life and exciting dragons. More interesting though, was the massive cave system that was below the city. The caves were full of rare metals and minerals. It was amazing. Favourite made sure to get some of those metals before moving on. Favourite ended up in Amaranth Clan, "Hmm too many flowers...not enough gold" he thought. Still, he decided to have a look around anyway. Over a short hill, he seen a glimmer of something...gold! He rushed over instantly, but was disappointed to find out that it was just a Golden Coatl. She was slightly startled at the unfamiliar dragon, but then she deduced that he is most likely looking for the Shadow Representative or even more likely looking for a place to stay for a while. "Are you here for a visit, my name's Misha by the way, I'm the Light Representative here. If you'd like to see the Shadow Representative - he's currently engaging with the hatchlings in the nursery". Misha stated. Favourite wasn't a typical travelling dragon, all he was interested in was riches (with a pinch of adventure) and he quickly figured out that he could have a bit of both if he finds a way to trick this coatl. Favourite quickly came up with a scheme to get Misha to trust him. Firstly, over the first few days he spent in the clan, he focused his time on convincing Misha of falling in love with him. Secondly, he told her that he has no need for adventure and that his desire is to live here in Amaranth Clan and start a family with Misha. Thirdly, (after gaining Misha's trust) he asked if he could be the vault manager for the clan. Misha knew that she would have to ask Belris about this, so she told Favourite to meet Belris in order for him to full fill this role. Favourite quickly became defensive - he was deliberately avoiding the clan's leader and the other clan members to make it easier for him to get what he wants. Fooling Misha was hard enough, but fooling a whole clan so he could obtain gold would be nearly impossible and he may seem suspicious that he's overstayed his welcome. Instead, Favourite shifted the focus to seeing the vault so he could "judge" whether he'd be fit to manage it before meeting with Belris. Misha grew suspicious of this and stood her ground to protect her clan's vault. "I can't let anyone near the vault if they don't belong there!" She argued. "So you think I don't belong here?" Favourite retorted, acting hurt when in reality he became anxious as his plot began to unravel. Misha replied, "you know that's not what I said, I'm sorry Favourite but I can't give in to your demands. Please just meet with Belris, she won't harm you"! Favourite had heard enough. "I'll think about meeting her tomorrow, I'm going to bed..." He huffed, before trudging away from Misha. Misha felt slightly on edge after their confrontation. Misha - although very intelligent - couldn't predict his next step... Favourite escaped the clan at midnight, leaving Misha and his two hatchlings Lamont and Thyme . Favourite realise his plan was quite elaborate and most likely doomed for failure. He briefly thought about looking for the vault, but he didn't want to attract any negative attention. He felt a sense of guilt about leaving his first born's behind, but he re-assured himself that although he never really loved Misha, she was a kind and level-headed dragon who'd take good care of his (their) hatchlings. He never predicted having a lineage would be part of his adventures. However, he hoped that maybe one day he could try having hatchlings again. So empty-handed but not empty-hearted, he continued his journey for riches and adventure... something something yvoong and edge get a swipe at him but he takes stuff and leaves |
