Biography

While Oram is considered the clan's Exalter, it is clear to everyone that she does not literally do the exalting. When a dragon is exalted, they feel it in their very being, deep in their core - they are in communion with the Glademother herself, and she has asked them to forsake the life they knew so that they may come into her service. It is both an honour and a burden. The reason that Oram is considered the exalter is simple - she is always the first to know about it, besides the dragon in question themselves.

Oram does work similar to Arca, The Collector, and Casimir, The Awakener, and simply catalogues notable members of the clan who were exalted for posterity. Sometimes she includes the resulting mood of the clan - the loss of some members to exaltation is a heavy blow for some, for others it can be as trivial and mundane as leaves being swept up by the wind.

She is very historically-minded and when she is not cataloguing the exalted for the clan she is leading an archaeological team on a dig. She has uncovered many beguiling artefacts underneath the Shrieking Wilds in her time with them since her arrival in the clan's Second Age.

Sometimes, transient dragons that were not at all known to the clan are exalted as they pass through it's boundaries, even in these instances, Oram is around and noticing. She keeps a small journal in which she logs their comings and goings - she has a code system for dragons of the various flights:
Saplings / Gladechildren
Strangling Root
Soup / Contagions
Amber Algae
Clods / Geodes
Hardened Clodcakes
Magi / Comets
Arcanist Meteorite Miniature
Miasma / Smog
Haunted Stone Orb
Embers / Flames
Flameweed
Dewdrops / Puddles
Rippleconch
Glint / Gleam
Intact Parchment
Gust / Breeze
Ancestral Incense
Bolt / Arc
Charged Tungsten
Snowflake / Icicle
Ice Crystal

The Gladechildren are special saplings who carry the colours of their Glademother and receive special treatment when borne to the front lines of her service.
