Lore

Surprisingly, being from the Naomi Bloodline, not to mention a DOUBLE Naomi bloodline, Adroit doesn't have any powers apart from elemental ones. Her father can turn invisible, but not Adroit. Her mother is a talented fighter, while Adroit is afraid of almost everything bad. But that didn't affect her childhood.

Being the youngest daughter of Whitepaw and Naona, Adroit grew up in a happy family of nocs. She and her brothers, her sisters would spend their days running under the sun, in the rolling hills. They laughed, played, rolled down the hills, and swam in the lakes and valleys of Mintwind Canyon.

They would take a nearby train to Verdant Plains, where they played tag all time. The conductor, a wildclaw named Kira, would smile at her, without even asking where she would get off, then drop the whole family off at Verdant Plains, without a single word.

The breeze was soft on their wings, with water droplets refreshing them after a long, hard day. They were happy all time.

But the happy days didn't last long.

With their family unable to feed so many dragonets, Adriot was sent to Darkmist Village, where she would be properly educated with more friends.

Unfortunately, it was all a hoax.

Because of her unusual linage and looks, Adroit was quickly left out by her classmates, being called the "second glitch monster". She was broken, an outcast, but it wasn't her fault. It was her mother's fault, her linage...

Hyena the Tundra dragon was her best friend and worst nightmare. Because she was the one who knows the bloodlines of every dragon in the class, she always hated Adroit for her great great something grandmother.

"Go away, you glitch monster!" A bully flicked a wing at her. Then most of Adriot's classmates soon took flight.

Adriot hated herself, hated herself to be a Naomi descendant, questioned herself why she was born into this kind of family. Her memories of the Mintwind Canyon began to fade.

Meanwhile, news of her family dying reached Adriot at school, but not before her classmates heard them. They would tease Adriot with them.

"Guess who lost a dragon again!" Hyena would point to Adriot, then laugh. "Adroit? You shouldn't be here. You should go to a glitching school, not our peaceful Darkmist Village school. You don't deserve to live with us, filthy Naomi."

Naomi was the word Adriot hated the most. She wished Naomi, whoever she was, an old relative, to just go away and disappear. And everyone else should forget about her.

Forget about her.

Maybe it was just time to leave.

On a dark night, when Darkmist Village was asleep, Adroit sneaked out, shut the school gates and flew straight back to Mintwind Canyon, hoping to find the remains of her family, her happy times and her soul.

But there was nothing at all.

A sign stood peacefully where her house once as. It read, Adriot, please, i know that you are our best dragonet. Please, don't take the words of others into account. You are not a glitch monster. Don't give up. Never stop.

Signed, no-one.

Adriot wiped off tears with her wing. Never stop. Don't give up. I am not a glitch monster.

She ran down the hills, surprised to find the train she took when she was young, still running on the tracks. Kira was still there, smiling at her. She smiled back, hoping to be back at Verdant Plains. Then, she tented her wings over herself and went to sleep.

Hours passed, instead of just the short trip.

Adroit suddenly jumped up and looked out the windows.

That was definitely not the bright green hills of Verdant Plains. She was arriving at a gate...and a white dragon was guarding it with tearful eyes, with tears of love and betrayal, her tattered wings flopping lifelessly onto the ground. Adroit couldn't believe her eyes. Naomi is alive, and here, and she knew where she was.

The point of no return. The place where exalted dragons go.

She was fooled, again.

"Kira!" Adroit hollered, trying to get the Wildclaw's attention. "Sorry, Adroit, but I have no choice but to send you to where the loners are. Please...you need to meet your only relative..."

Adroit winced, waiting for her fate as she fell down, into the dreamless sleep of exhaustion, waiting to wake up in a deity's lair, waiting for Naomi to just glare past her and walk away, not noticing...

...

She opened her eyes and saw herself in a carved crystalline cavern, with pink lights hanging above her, sparkling.

This must be the lair of the Arcanist, she thought, closing her eyes again. But a teal Nocturne dragon from nearby walked up to her. "I know, I know..." she muttered, trying to wake up from this nightmare.

"You're not exalted," the teal dragon said calmly. "Hi, I'm Gloria. This is no deity's lair. Welcome to the Star Skies.”

Adroit was, in fact, the luckiest of her family.
