"DOCTOR’S NOTES"

The main territory of Broodlings is an interesting subject to our local researchers. What is strange, is that it is much like a gigantic caldera, though unlike calderas, the sides are extremely steep, it lacks any signs of past volcanic activity, and it juts straight out of the land with relatively very little sloping at the bottom (not to say that there isn’t sloping... there certainly is! Enough sloping to have multiple small towns built upon those foothills of sloping.). Normally, the outer sides of mountains aren’t nearly VERTICAL from what I’ve seen. The inside of the territory is far different, however. It is a much calmer slope to the bottom of the feature, though divided into large flat ‘shelves’. The inside of the territory, or what I will now refer to as the ‘Hives’, has many pools, rivers and waterfalls of green pus-like water, as is typical of the scarred wasteland. At the very center and very bottom of The Hives, there is a giant lake, somewhat comparable to a ‘mini wyrmwound’. It’s very deep. There are also unique species of fungi which grow within the inner area of The Hives, larger than even guardian dragons, towering like trees do. There are also documented records of more of these caldera-like structures across the wastelands. Which, is odd, and quite interesting, considering that they are all, including this one, gargantuan petrified stumps of ancient trees rivaling the size of about one fourth of the behemoth.
