B I O G R A P H Y

Panrry was a princess from a small kingdom in the south of the Sunbeam Ruins, cut off from the rest of the Light Flight by Luminax's rampage and the Hewn City. As she was not crown princess, she had very few responsibilities and spent her time stargazing and collecting small, reflective rocks that reminded her of stars. She was very sheltered from the outside world and barely ever left the little palace. She had a few tutors but was mostly left to her own devices as her older sister was trained in political and magical arts in preparation for her ascension to the throne.

Some might call it fate, some bad luck, others simply coincidence, but a band of Lightning raiders found her on a rare walk along the palace grounds and kidnapped her, intending to use her for ransom. She fought as best she could, but the raiders only laughed at the weak sparkles she conjured. The ransom demanded was a prized treasure of her kingdom: a pearl from one of the first kings, rumored to be cursed. Her mother and father spent many council meetings debating whether or not to give into their demands.

While a captive, Panrry was transported to a small hideout in the Arcane Flight, built into the cliffs that bordered the Earth Flight. The raiders tried to sell her to a nomadic tribe of Arcane dragons, but their broker Magraithe declined and took her by force. Many were lost on both sides, and Magraithe and her leader Malak fled with Panrry to a clan farther south in the Arcane lands. Panrry became attached to Magraithe and Malak and while her life was much different than in the palace, she settled into Clan Zenith quite well.

S T O R Y

Panrry ascended the worn, marble stairs of the small lighthouse. The crystal lamp was not lit as it was not dark yet, however the night would be long and passing ships would need a guiding light. She set her claws on the golden runes etched into the huge crystal point and murmured a spell under her breath. The lamp began to glow with a soft, silvery light. Panrry smiled slightly at the sight. Chianan had once commented that the last wickie's light had been golden but it was harsh and bright. Panrry's light was more like starlight than sunlight, and she was pleased with that.

She hummed a song from her youth as the stars began to emerge from the dark sky. It was a moonless night, and her services would be much needed for guiding wayward ships through the treacherous waters near Clan Zenith. She didn't really need to wait at the beacon, but she liked the view it gave her of the midnight water and the seemingly endless sky. She also had a few runes she should have been studying, but she preferred to just watch the gentle waves and the occasional ship pass by

"Panrry?" came a voice from the stairs. Panrry shot upright as Chianan emerged from the stairwell. "I thought I'd find you here. I have a matter I'd like to discuss with you." Panrry lowered her head. "Of course," she murmured. Chianan settled down next to her and Panrry wondered momentarily if her light was too weak. "I was wondering if you'd like to be our ambassador to the Light Flight," Chianan said. Panrry blinked her wide eyes. "Me?" Chianan huffed a laugh at her reaction. "Yes, you. You have political experience with light clans, and you have the strongest Light magic of all of us." "But I...but my light is starlight!" Panrry protested. "It's not conventional--I don't--" She struggled to find the words and then composed herself. "If that is your decision, I would be honored." "It's not my decision," Chianan said gently. "That's why I'm asking you. Our clan would be proud to have you as its ambassador, but it's ultimately up to you." Panrry pursed her lips, thinking hard. "Yes," she said confidently. "I will."
