Biography
H E L I O S L I G H T ' S - B L E S S E D ORACLE – SOFTHEARTED – RESERVED |
An oracle blessed by the gods, the future personified. Helios is the chosen of the Lightweaver, a pure being bathed in jewels. With his one purpose in life to relay her word to the clan, he’s dedicated himself to his duty. Growing up in the clan, Orpheus allowed himself to be courted by the current head, Helios. Helios formed an intimate relationship with the oracle, and the two were wed and bound together under the eyes of the Lightweaver herself. He formed a close friendship with the sorceress Andromeda as well, mediating the quarrels between the two sisters as best he could. Despite this, the two’s relationship shattered once Andromeda almost destroyed the water-bearer blessed by the Lightweaver themself. As an object he was bound to protect, he immediately cut off all contact from the sorceress and refused to see her until she was exiled. With his trust broken, Orpheus dedicated himself to shield the water-bearer, withdrawing himself from the tribe. With the Lightweaver finally decreeing him to return to his wife and clan, he kept a closer guard on whom he allowed near the goblet. The Lightweaver began blessing their voice to the others of the clan on Orpheus’s request, delivering orders to those whom needed it. |

Orpheus, set on his task of choosing the group of messengers, was left unawares of the plot of Andromeda. His former friend had set her sights on the clan, and without the Lightweaver’s intervention, there was nothing he could do to foresee it. With the introduction of Donna and Obsidian to the group, Orpheus was hit with a forewarning of danger. With his paranoia, he relocated the goblet with his wife’s permission. With a replacement set, he spent his days doing anything he could to keep the clan as safe as possible. The Lightweaver spoke nothing still, simply warning him of something terrible to come. Water and oceans were all that filled the visions that plagued him in the dead of night. Andromeda finally made her move, throwing the clan into the sea below, making Orpheus’s visions ring true. He went to retrieve the water-bearer, holding it tight and fleeing to the domain of the Windsinger. With his wife in tow, they were terrified to discover that without the proximity of their home, they were unable to reach the Lightweaver. With his vendetta fully secured, he dedicates himself to taking down Andromeda before she harms the land of light even more. With a strong aversion to water, he keeps himself separate from the current refugees of the tribe and has started reaching out to his fellow oracles. Once soft-hearted and meek, he’s shed that exterior long ago. |
