Owoc

His is the story of Owoc the feathered prince, eleventh in line for the throne of Korthis, a champion of his subjects and a wonderful father…or so he believed. Owoc had many featherlings and he named them all after things he loved, in this case fruit. His first child was a daughter he named Pear, following her came Apricot, Mango, Lemon and Banana. Owoc also loved his subjects, being so far removed from the throne, he devoted his life to making the kingdom a better place. He would wake up at first sun every morning and fly around the kingdom, talking with the clan dragons personally, getting to know them as individuals, learning about their dreams, aspirations, and families.

Owoc was a very busy prince, unfortunately this meant that his featherlings didn’t get to see much of their father, this only got worse when King Korthis chose to name Owoc heir to the throne, to the outrage of his ten siblings in line before him. The king had been watching all of his heirs carefully and had deemed that Owoc, much beloved by the clan was the best fit to succeed him.

And so the Feathered Prince became the Feathered King, most of his children had moved away and had featherlings of their own, Banana, the only one left, began to miss the company of his father.

“If you want your father back, I can help you.” A wildclaw approached Banana, her name was Senrith, she was the eldest daughter of the former king. “Venture to the Parched Canyonwalks of Dragonhome, I will report that you have been taken hostage by bandits while on a diplomatic mission, surely your father will come to your rescue.”

Off Banana went on the long journey to the Parched Canyonwalks of Dragonhome, where he met these bandits who were to take him hostage, the problem was, these bandits weren’t bandits at all but several of Owoc's siblings. Senrith did as she promised, reporting the incident to King Owoc, who was so concerned for his son, he set off immediately with his guard and his sister, unknowingly flying into her ambush.

“If you want to save your son, you will give up the throne, drink this potion and never return.”

And so the Feathered King became the Feathered Exile.

“I’m sorry” cried Banana “I didn’t mean for it to turn out like this.”

Owoc could not respond to his son’s apology, the potion had taken his voice, instead he smiled softly and cradled the wildclaw under his wings.

“We will find a way to get through this.” Banana vowed.
