Hatchlings of the Sunsworn Four are, in a word, devout. It doesn’t matter what cause or deity or godsforsaken beliefs they’ve chosen-- it will take no less than divine intervention to lead them astray from their path.

Regardless of what thin line they choose to walk, all are equipped with the necessary monster-slaying and Shade-hunting skills they require. Whether they use these powers for good is another matter entirely.

The Sentinels teach them dedication and loyalty. There is no manual on Sorineth that can teach them to think for themselves.

Of all her siblings, Syphiel's the only one who takes to her life as a paladin with genuine excitement-- though 'zeal' may be a better term.

What makes her one of the best paladins the Sentinels have ever trained isn't that she's a natural swordsdragon and a sureshot with that bow of hers. Neither is it because of her proficiency with Earth magic, or even her unshakeable moral compass.

It's because she believes. Wholeheartedly, with zero hesitation-- Syphiel believes in the purpose of the Sentinels of the Sun, which is why she's so godsdamned dangerous. It is one thing having a full-sized guardian swinging a sword at you, it's another when that guardian has never experienced an ounce of hesitation in her life and will hunt you to the ends of Sorineth until you lie bleeding at her feet.

But character is nothing if not forged by fire. Eventually, she will come to learn that the world does not deal in absolutes, and that the shine of her armour will oftentimes blind more than it illuminates. 		x
