If ever you're in town and in need of something to do on a rainy night, head on over to The Dryad- if you can make it through the line, that is. Men and women flock from all over the continent just to see the famous cabaret performances put on at the club. Wiling you make it to the door and have enough to afford the entrance fee, you'll be met by a tastefully gothic interior made up of patterned wallpapers, high-arched ceilings and ample amounts of leather and dark stained wood. Waiters and Waitresses dressed in fine black suits that seem out of place in a club where so few clothes are worn on stage make their way through the crowded dimly lit room with ease, supplying every table with fine imported drinks.

Although the club, with it's theatrical interior and over-sized bar, is quite the show on its own, the real fun starts when all the lights go out. A single spotlight guides your eyes through the dark to the single large stage at the front of the room, where stands, as at the beginning and end of every show, the owner of The Dryad. All long limbs, starry locks and tantalizing painted eyes, he's a vision in black velvet and leather that contrasts against the otherwise soft etherealness of his appearance. He'll thank everyone for coming, introduce the acts for the night, and wink as he reminds you to tip the waiters. Every sound he makes -every small movement- keeps the guests on the edge of their chairs. None look away. None can. Like a siren he entices, captivates, and the guest's begin to wonder if they've been put under a spell. The room is silent, waiting, breathless, and then- he leaves, the curtains lift for the first performer, and the spell is broken.

There are those who believe the club owner is not entirely what he appears to be, the etherealness of him perhaps going beyond just his looks. But all talk of him dies once the show begins and performers of every gender take their place on stage, swinging hips and performing aerial tricks in sync with music from the band. Should your eyes ever happen to wander from the stage however, they may just catch the owner nursing a glass of gin as he smirks at you from the sidelines- and maybe then you too, will start to wonder just who the owner really is.
