Sanctus was born around the same time as the other members foretold to be blessed by the deities by the Empire of Death's seers. While the first was found to clearly be one of the dragons prophesized, she was born too closely to Shroud for them to decide who the chosen one was. And so, even as a young hatchling, Sanctus grew a hatred for the banescale. She was obviously the chosen one, her scales were bright and shined angelically while Shroud's were dark and demonic. Becoming leader of the sub-clan in Shadow was her birthright! So of course once they were grown, she began plotting how to prove she was the chosen one. Sanctus gathered an army, making them believe beyond a doubt that not only was she the rightful leader of that territory but also a deity herself, chosen and shaped into one by the deities themselves. During the war she stayed out of the way, only appearing rarely and only to her commander. This only seemed to add to the belief that she was more than a normal dragon. She finally appeared at the end of the battle to fight Shroud herself. Both sides had taken heavy hits and it was time to finish it once and for all. Unfortunately, the banescale and her army drove Sanctus out. Most of her followers died in the battle but her strongest and most loyal that survived followed her to exile in the Ice flight. Sanctus vowed revenge on Shroud and began formation of her own kingdom: Frozen Heaven's Kingdom. Those who joined would have to bear the cold at the top of the Cloudscrape Crag. Soon after, she began growing her powers. Multiple wings grew from her body and glowing eyes formed along her body. Sanctus had dreamed of becoming powerful like a true chosen one and she was finally getting there. Most who saw her feared her. The only ones who didn't were those she saw often—her guards, her champion's daughter Celestial, who she put in charge as the acting ruler of the Kingdom, and other important dragons she deemed it necessary to see face to face. Sanctus rules with an iron fist and only likes to help others if she gets something in return. Every ally made and every battle fought must be for something to expand her power. She has since gained an alliance with Tantris to form other outposts in Light and Arcane. Her grudge against Shroud hasn't been forgotten nor has her desire to get revenge diminished, but she wants to make sure she wins. Her powers and territory will continue to expand until her legion is large enough to defeat Shroud and any other dragon who dares challenge her.
