Biography
Yan is a digger. He makes a lot of holes everywhere he can and when he finds rare gems and treasure, he sells them in his shop. He makes a pretty decent income as he has a lot of success finding pretty ores.
His calling dwelves in the earth, deep undeground. As a hatchling, he always enjoyed digging everywhere he could and has always loved the earth itself. The vast majority of his time is spent in cramped holes of his making, meters deep below everyone else. He is a rare exception as he has no house within the clan, no need for it he always said.
Due to him being a guardian, his holes tend to be very large. He tries his best to follow Scyfax's advice and to dig where he won't bother anybody, but sometimes that can be hard when you've got a vast variety of dragons, each with their own hobbies and quiet spaces.
He doesn't really bother with counting the meters as he dig, but sometimes the small bits of air he gets feel very hot, he's reported. One of his favorite things is finding ore caves, where he takes a break, stretches, and gathers what he finds.
His hole digging technique involves him using his claws or shovel when there is dirt or soft rock. Harder material he will dig through by breathing fire, then when softened he'll plunge into it and continue his descent.
