Ghastly Houndskull 		It was the night before Ander’s wedding day. Things were as they should be. Gentle and quiet, with an early spring breeze caressing the delicate apple blossoms of the neighbor’s tree. The wind whispered between the houses and through the streets of the little settlement deep in the woods of the Viridian Labyrinth.

It was the night before Ander’s wedding day and nothing terrible happened. He’d had horrible nightmares the nights before, nightmares of death and destruction. Nightmares of desperation and returns to old, deadly habits. But these nightmares would not come to pass. No, in this world, in this little settlement, just this once, everybody lives.
