Athaul

At first, Athaul looks like any other average dragon. Depite his vibrant color, there's something that makes him look.. normal. Mundane. Forgetable. This strange birth perk is actually something Athaul takes great care of. He prefers to be underestimated and to surprise people when they're expecting the less of him than to suffer the pressure of high expectations. Also, being seen as a "nothing special" dragon is perfectly fine for him, as he dreads that his clanmates would become afraid of his magic abilities.
This is because, actually, Athaul is a mage with highly advanced knowledge in the field of blood magic and its most dangerous applications, which he learned with his parents. However, this not the magic career he wishes to pursue, for his prefered speciality is metamorphosis. Thus, at the Mage College, Athaul relentlessly researches and trains the ability to manipulate and transform his own body.
Deep inside him, he wishes he would be able to better convey his emotions to others, and tries to do so through more expressive metamophosis.

Partner: Svarel Svarel gets him. They just do. Since their first interaction, they have always been perfectly attuned. And this is game changing enough for Athaul to go out of his comfort zone and try to desperately keep the skydancer musician by his side. Fortunatley for him, the latter had no objections at all. Athaul still doesn't get how lucky he must be to have such an amazing significant other. He definitely helds Svarel to very high standards, which they are themself very oblivious about.
