An eastern barred bandicoot who makes his home on N. Sanity Island. Crash was captured by Dr. Neo Cortex to be made the general of his Cortex Commandos, in order to conquer the world. Crash was mutated by the Evolvo-Ray, and was subjected to the unstable Cortex Vortex, designed to turn Crash into a genius and 100% loyal to Cortex. The machine malfunctioned, rejected Crash and the bandicoot escaped and ran for his freedom.

Crash braves Cortex's other mutant creatures and evil associates, and rises up triumphant, foiling the plans of the scientist constantly. Crash is brave and daring, helping him face obstacles big and small in all kinds of environments.

Compared to the other mutant creatures created by Cortex, Crash is not the most intelligent (but certainly knows how to outsmart Cortex himself), but he makes up for it with a kind heart, being attentive and always willing to help those in need. He very rarely shows any aggression - even towards his enemies - but when something threatens his little sister, Coco, he isn't afraid to stand his ground. Crash is also very protective of his favourite food - Wumpa Fruit. While being danger-loving and enjoying a good fight here and there, he ultimately prefers relaxing at home, napping, soaking up the sun and dancing.

Based on OG/PS1 era Crash, so he's a lot more orange than modern day Crash.
