Abaddon Leader A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. He does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by the equality of his actions and the integrity of his intent. – Douglas MacArthur I. Abaddon is regarded by the caravan as an excellent leader. Firm yet caring, she knows when it’s time to take the front position and when it’s time to hang back. She values order, honesty and a willingness to change. She listens well to her Council, although she is not afraid of standing on her own if need be. She has a soft spot for stories and a warm mug of mulled wine in front of the fire. II. Abaddon is a somewhat mysterious dragon. Nobody knows where she came from—including Abaddon herself. Her first memory is of the wide open wastes of the Abiding Boneyard. She not only survived her first few years in a harsh and unforgiving land, but she thrived, learning strategies that would go on to serve her future clan well. Eventually, Abaddon made her way to the Hellwell Undercroft, where she learned the skill of diplomacy in the ever-changing political landscape. It was there that she would meet Red, who was scouring the Wasteland for a new Plague ambassador. Abaddon joined the caravan as Ambassador to her flight, but her diplomacy and survival skills, as well as her firm yet compassionate demeanor, soon saw her rising the ranks to assume the position of leader. Abaddon appointed three dragons to serve as her council: Zaminot, Red, and Libe. She often asks the cartographer Soren for aid, even though the Skydancer has made it clear they want nothing to do with leadership. III. Zaminot: Abaddon is a truly beautiful dragon, both inside and out. She makes a wonderful leader: firm yet caring, with just enough of a push to truly bring out a dragon’s inner strength. She may be aloof and a bit overly orderly, but I couldn’t ask for a better leader and friend. |
