Vex is exactly as their name implies, vexed. This doesn't mean they have other emotions but most interactions with them imply that they are always irritated. This may be because they prefer to be alone and was working on a project when approached; but even when they seek conversation it sounds like they're ready to hit something. Along the lines of that subject they're proficient in both the book and the blade, meaning they will use both as a weapon. The main concern with that skill is that they don't have a pattern between their choice. Burning down a house? Get smacked with a book. Taking the last cookie? SWORD. It's probably better to not try your luck unless you're really fast. Or if you can bribe them with food or items they like first.

Their first and only familiar is a Harlequin Feathercroak named Earl. Vex has encouraged Earl to give unnecessary puns as they say it's never to early for puns of any kind. Earl likes to sit on their shoulder and chirp out a pun or two when they pause while talking. The other place Earl likes to lurk is on any spot that you need to use right then. Whether that is a purposeful act or he happens to just be there more times than none, most other dragons find it irritating.
