Marlablair, known as Marley to his friends, is a quiet and reserved man with no patience for nonsense. He has navigated the treacherous offices of the criminal underworld for years. He is The Guild's bookkeeper and manages the numbers side of the operation. Although he is polite and stoic, he will not hesitate to fight back if insulted or when someone he cares for is in danger. Marlablair often reveals surprising magical knowledge at opportune moments, and when a friend demands to know why he never used such powers earlier, he slyly replies, "You never asked." Such abilities include summoning necessary equipment from pocket dimensions, activating powerful sealing charms, dispelling curses, and creating portals around the room or to strange realms (although he's never let others close enough to see anything on the other side).
