Children of the Quickdraw Gang grow up in a household-- or as much of a household an encampment comprised of flimsy tents under a sky full of stars can get-- full of what can more or less be described as sheer chaos. Most choose to embrace the same life of crime their parents did but a few do seek a different path, chasing a fate that won't end up with them shot and bleeding out in some deity-forsaken ravine somewhere.

Their parents care little about what each hatchling eventually decides for themselves; this indifferent world will be neither the better nor the worse for it.

One's first impression of Emery often consists of a word: whoa. Rakish smile, high cheekbones, effortlessly tousled hair; they're handsome and don't they know it. As the town's local flirt, Emery's the kind of dragon you see get kicked out on the streets by a furious lover, still grinning as they tug their pants up and winking devilishly at the next pretty face to walk by.

They've got a string of broken hearts behind them a mile long-- that's a lot of dragons cursing their name. Fortunately, their upbringing has taught them to defend themselves, which comes in handy when vengeful ex-lovers and/or their family members come to exact payback.

Their motivations remain a mystery to all. Here's the privilege of the truth: Emery forsook familial love a long time ago. Now, they chase romantic love, looking for a perfection that doesn't exist, can't exist.

Love's a long con, and Emery's is being squeezed for every drop of time they're worth. 		x
