Biography

Baoshi
Clan Worker // Insect Catcher
Baoshi was and still is a very successful insect catcher, even when his goals don’t necessarily focus on trying to catch insects. He was born deep within the Snowsquall Tundra, far away from any sensible invertebrate, but something about him managed to bring about a bunch of bugs anyway. Perhaps the familiar shape of Baoshi’s fireflies- luminous pinpricks of light that perched all across his body- charmed the creepy crawlies. Perhaps it was the swirls of stars that swam across scales and skin, painting him in the colors of the cosmos. Moths were drawn to light, after all. Whatever the case was, it eventually drove Baoshi to travel away from his homeland and it’s disturbing lack of vermin. He eventually was found by Reflection, a similarly starry soul who could tell he was looking for someone or something or just somewhere. She introduced him to Kiran’s Clan, and he has remained with them ever since.

Since Baoshi is about as blue and sparkly as the average lake, he prefers to utilize water in his arthropod ambushing endeavors. If he lies in wait just below the surface of a pond, his fireflies will draw in nearby prey, and if said prey is hypnotized enough, it becomes very easy for him to snatch it. Particularly pretty and/or unusual specimens are given to Pavol for further study.
