About

A rarity in Sornieth, Han is a genuinely nice dragon who has no qualms about going out of her way to help other dragons and even the occasional Beastclan creature. Chances are, if you were to meet someone who met Han even once, they would say the same thing: she is a sweet dragon that is too good for this world.

As a skilled user of wind magic, Han also likes to entertain others. Creating colorful gusts and breezes around the Cliffs entrances many. Hatchlings learn of their element and the beauty it possesses, and adults have an appreciation for the effort it takes to create something so intricate from the wild nature of wind.

Familiar
It was a surprise to many when Han chose her familiar, a green and blue bird that she had grown a bond with. Many assumed she would take a familiar with a higher status in relation to her magical abilities, like a Wind Sprite or Gusting Goblin. But no, Han was completely happy with the long-beaked bird.

The two often flew to the riverside, he to catch fish and she to clean and preen her feathers. The fish that Peiro caught would be taken to the clan and given to dragons who ate it, albeit with nibbles taken from them. Peiro was skilled in gliding on the winds that Han conjured and because he was her familiar, was better than any other bird could be. Their shared bond allowed him to anticipate her movements and in turn, the wind she cast. In a way, he helped her train. Higher and higher he could glide, guided by the knowledge that Han shared, while she pushed harder and harder with her might. Together, they sharpened both their skills and made the other better. In the evenings, Han curled up and Peiro nestled among her wings and feathers, a soft and warm nest that was easy to doze off in.

As one of many offspring, Han was often put aside from her siblings. Too many feet scurrying around, too many mouths chittering about their day, it was very overwhelming for anyone who was not used to the activity. As she had grown up in the crowded nest-home, Han didn't so much mind the energy of the household. She never quite understood why her mother and father didn't pay much attention to her, to all of her siblings, but she learned the craft of the wind, how to let it glide along her talons.

This was how much of her life went; fending mostly for herself, learning by herself how to control wind and in a sense, magic with it. It wasn't until she was in her late adolescence, that other dragons began to take notice of her. Or more accurately, take notice in her wind-harnessing abilities. In the rare moments that her family did go out, crowds would gather around as she twirled and swirled the wild magic around her feathered wings. After, some would offer to take her under as an apprentice, while some asked her to teach them how to do the pretty tricks. As always, she politely declined, while her parents just gazed on. They wouldn't give her too much attention, as to fear their other hatchlings would become upset.

Han did not leave home until she was years past her adult age, mostly because she was not prepared to. The lack of attention and teaching of valuable life skills was lost on her, as Han's parents continued to raise another wave of hatchlings. Even at this point, she didn't know why they didn't seem to care. She certainly didn't feel forgotten or lonely, just... on the outskirts looking in. One day when she was alone and gazing off into the cliffs of her homeland, a bright-colored nocturne caught her attention as they flew from ledge to ledge. When the nocturne clutched the bamboo closest to Han, she could see that the interior of the other dragons' wings was covered in inked lines and paper, which Han supposed was an addition to the scrolls of maps the nocturne held. The nocturne had briefly introduced herself as Ozone, stating that she was mapping out the surrounding regions for her clan that lived in the Jadesong cliffs. Enticed by a new opportunity, Han asked Ozone to take her to the nocturne's clan. Han fell in love with the beautiful scenery and loved the bond the dragons within the clan had with each other. It wasn't long after that Han decided this was where she wanted to spend her time, and away from her crowded home she moved.
