Eser is a headstrong fighter stemming from a long line of fierce warriors. She left her home at a young age to begin training as a guard, following her desire to protect those who could not fend for themselves. Her prowess and principles made her rise through the ranks until she became the first non-Guardian guard captain Thonis had seen.

She is respected for her fairness amongst her trainees, although they also fear her for being strict and unforgiving towards those who dare to slack off. Being a warrior is a full-time commitment for her, so she is not often seen during social activities, preferring to train by herself instead. Surprisingly to some, she tends to speak in a very formal and occasionally even stilted way, a trait not shared by most of her fellow Wildclaws on the atoll.

Eser is never seen without her trusty sword and a strange and heavily scarred little Water Sprite - or what looks like one - that refuses to leave her side for some reason.
