Biography

It’s unfinished these are just notes
Guardian soulmate reborn
Plague born
A guardian once more who was partners (her charge) with a light born ancient
Lost her sense of loyalty after her first death (Kinda)
Charge is described as ram faced beast/ my hc for the future light ancient
One of the first guardians/modern dragons in her first life - looked different with exaggerated features
Trying to get to the light flight bc that’s where her charge will be reborn but is still trapped within the lands of plague somewhat from her own trauma, mostly bc I rlly like her being a part of my clan lore wise
She was a pirate and that will probably be addressed in flashbacks she’s dressed as one rn

A gaze that had been lost for another eternity within the absence of time and self reemerged in the form of a hatchling holding a heart that was never its own. Once more she opens her eyes to a world uncannily familiar but so wretchedly foreign from the one she left behind. Lowering her now deep lavender gaze she stares down at her still damp claws. Tallon's encrusted with rubies taunt her, their reflection distorting the image of her new face and reflecting back at her a dragon so hauntingly similar to the long lost memory of her very first life. Red eyes perched upon dark scales stained with blood not her own.

This was not something to be taken lightly, she had witnessed her blessing again. The gift of another chance as each of her past lives continue their failures. An endless pursuit of her lost charge with all she had learned from her previous beings to assist her for what she hoped would be her final resurrection. The golden eyes that tormented her would be found, her charge that drove her beyond any mortal limitation to finally be reunited with them. She doubted they lived on as she has, but finding their corpse would be just as befitting for their reunion. A being so much older and vast than the Imperials of today, a creature that would be just as prominent in death as it had been in life. Though she would know her lover in any form they would take, that was the advantage of being incarnated as a Guardian within this alliteration.

It only took her hours to leave the clan that had birthed her new form, setting off for the wasteland she knew of as her first flight. Following the gentle calling of her charge to the place they had once called home. The land of plague cried out to her as well, but it wouldn’t ever truly remember her. Her home cared little for its inhabitants, it was only devoted to its insatiable hunger. The spreading of its children and the feast as each fell another hopeless wanderer. Though as it gouged itself it grew, a life-form of animated death clawing at the edges of the neighboring territories as it longed to consume them as well. It was befitting that she would always be so drawn to a land that salivated at the mere thought of death, after all, she was far too familiar with the concept.

The return to her homelands was not a difficult journey, though that itself was a concern. She traveled across lands that had once been ruled by the Arcanist only to find them engulfed under the Plaugebringers grasp. Growth that should have taken centuries had happened between her last incarnation and her present, she feared what she had missed. For the first time in centuries, her youthful appearance matched her naivety, if only to this strange new era. There was no telling what she had missed between the spans of her lifetimes.

Many of the dragons she crossed sported new patterns, though that wasn’t an uncommon sight. New genes emerged quite frequently and for those who had been around as long as she had the changes were expected more than anything. It wasn’t until she ran into her first Gaoler that she realized what exactly she had missed. A great change was racing through this land and she had been none the wiser to it for far too long. A great rebirth of entire species, many of whom had been lost or elusive long before her very first life. The memories of her past life flared if only briefly, all she could make out where the familiar golden eyes lit from within and the goat-like horns bore proudly still stained with blood. There was terror within that memory but there weren’t enough remnants to truly grasp those newly stirred emotions.

The Banes terrified her, and she could fully comprehend that fear, a long-extinct species reborn by one of the deities' own hands. They had all been killed, wiped out long before the Gaolers had gone into hiding to wallow in their shame. She knew the rumors of the Banes brutality but in an everlasting war such aggressions could never be the justification for such a genocide. These two breeds being brought back to life alongside each other was a fitting show of humility from the deities, for beasts that were so devoted to their own cause it was nice to see they still held some regard for their children. It was relieving that the deities no longer held such strict authority over their first children, the Gaolers eyes no longer remained solely trapped behind ice and the Banes were finally free from their flames. For a reason she couldn’t quite understand she hoped this resurrection would end with the Banes. She knew it would not.

Another breed came just as suddenly as it had left and she cursed herself for ever believing she would bare witness to anything less. She had been brought back and this time would be her last, because what else did she live for. One of the first Guardians would finally be reunited with her charge and that would be the end of her. It would be a great amount of time before those goat-faced beasts where reborn anew bringing her charge back with them. And then her quest would be over. Her life would be over. This lifetime would be her last and she would finally be free. Of course, there was a deep sense of loss but it was easily lost in the inappropriate joy of knowing this hell would finally end.

Um waiting game until charge is revived, maybe play into how some of the deepest connections we can have to others can be negative. Perhaps it is fate that she kills them, I’ve been trying to hint that they are a ruthless awful being this entire time for a reason

Aaaaaa now I want to add a section about her gaining this scroll! She’d be super excited about it, a nice break from the stress of her charge.
