Biography
Sweet Zazu has a face for mischief. As a youngster, he filched food from under dragons' noses and frequently played silly pranks.
When he matured, he had the reputation for the clan prankster. This reputation has not yet been shed despite him not pulling any pranks since he was a hatchling.
Zazu suspects Lucas is part of the maintained reputation, but doesn't seem to mind getting blamed for the older dragon's shenanigans. In fact, the two are practically inseparable.
When Aurantia joined the clan, she turned their duo into a trio. Zazu was a little less thrilled about the chaos than Lucas, but he's quite taken by the Nocturne herself.
---
When Lucas decided he wanted to leave the clan andcause problems on purpose assist the Shadowbinder, Zazu was distraught. He tried to return to his mischievous ways in order to cope, but did not have the finesse of Lucas or the stealth of Aurantia.
He was busily disorganizing the tomes in the shadier side of the lair when a voice startled him.
"You know, this would probably go better for you if you didn't glow."
He froze, turning slowly to see an unfamiliar toothy grin just a little too close for comfort.
"Name's Feint. Pleasure to meet you, I'm sure," the wildclaw plucked the tome from his talons, skimming the cover as she did so.
"Uhhhh.... Zazu"
"Well Uhh Zazu, thanks for finding the book I was looking for," she eyed the glowing dragon curiously, "Do you think... you could stand there for a minute? It's darker in here than I'm used to."
He nodded slowly, letting out a sigh of relief and letting some of the tension go. She didn't seem to realize what he had been up to. That was good.
"Thanks!" Feint moved even closer and began flipping through the tome to the light of Zazu's glow.
Time slipped away in the shuffle of pages. Away from the usual lair chaos, Zazu let his mind drift into hazy daydreams and old memories.
"AH HA!" Zazu flinched back from the outburst and stumbled over a pile of books, landing flat on his back amid a cloud of dust.
Undeterred, Feint excitedly shoved the open tome at Zazu, "I knew I recognized these. Rumor has it, these stones contain fractures of magic that can be used to heighten the senses, increase reflexes.... even make someone invisible."
She grinned and winked, "I think I know someone who might get some use out of them. What do you think?"
Not waiting for his flustered response, she spun towards the door and tucked the book into her pack, musing aloud, "Of course, I'll probably need someone to create a... very bright distraction while I retrieve them."
Zazu scrambled to his feet and hurried to follow. A distraction for a distraction. He could do that.
