Nathema is a mostly silent, brooding figure who lurks in the shadows of the towering trees that surround the edges of the clan's territory. He has the keenest nose of the entire clan, and can scent an enemy from miles away- and track down prey with a ruthless, relentless stamina that can last for weeks.

He is a careful, dogged and unrelenting endurance hunter, and his indomitable stubbornness makes him terrifying. Though his preferred meals are meat, he will happily subside on forage in order to keep his stamina up in order to track his prey to the ends of the world if need be.

Nathema hangs bones from his wings- a mix of skulls, teeth, vertebrae and other long bones. He uses these as a way to train himself to be as silent as a shadow, and takes pride in the fact that he can stalk his quarry without making a sound from his macabre wing-chimes. He is also known to use them in the opposite- flaring his wings and letting out the characteristic booming call of a hunting Gaoler to create a horrifying cacophony of clattering bones and a voice as old as the ice, in an intimidation tactic to flush out his prey.

ETYMOLOGY - A bare, lifeless word on which sparks of life stand out like beacons- and are easy to find by those who know how to look.

BELONGINGS - Nathema has no hoard, only tools of the trade, and strategically placed remains of his meals to serve as warnings around the clan's boundaries.
