Skylight, from the time of hatching, was sure he was to be the King of a grand land.

There was only a slight hinderance to his grand scheme; he didn't know how he could manage it.
He was but a lone Fae in the land of the Lightweaver. He had no home, he had no family. He didn't even remember where he came from.
Regardless, he was determined. Something was drawing him to start something. The Lightweaver had plans for him, and by the wills of predestination he was going to fufill them.
He believes strongly in his denizen.

After several days of wandering, seeking some sort of sign, he decided to settle in a dying tree. Just for a night, he told himself. He'd find his goal soon. But for now, he'd spin a makeshift den. He wanted something comfy, he'd had nothing of the like the whole time he was wandering.

"Who's there?" Sounded a voice from the dark, and our great King did not miss a beat in responding, his voice hoarse from days without speaking to others, torn with the struggle he went through to found our great clan.

"King Skylight," He sounded in response, monotone as Fae's are known to be, glancing down the trunk of the rotting tree to see who assailed him- and greeted with two large eyes blinking at him from the dark. A dark female Guardian, maybe without charge, looking bewildered at the mighty presence of our King.

"King?" She responded. "Of this land?"

He nodded before sweeping his wing over the vast expanse he'd decided to claim for us.
"This will be my clan's home," he said, and so it was the centre of our home. Where the dead tree fell.

The Guardian, now to us the former Queen Nadina - would join his ranks as among the Progenitors of our clan, a sage in her own right. But maybe that story is for her to tell.
