Biography

Juno - Named after the Roman goddess, because the combination of eye spots and multigaze calls to mind a peacock, which is a symbol of Hera/Juno, but I was more thinking of the myth about how the peacock got its eye-like pattern. This is also the reason for her familiar, Ἄργος (Argos)! It was one of the very first stories I ever read by myself (around age 4 or 5, I think) and it really stuck with me & has a lot of sentimental value.
(Who named her is unknown, but Christina commented that her wings are Egbert-colored, and June and Juno are very similar.)
