The Firstborn: The two oldest dragons who bare the sacred digits of 20 and 21. Noxus and Fray reside within an Ancient Arcane Lair. For eons the clan has quietly existed, far away in seclusion, preferring to keep to their own way of life. The children of the Firstborn carry ancient blood and old traditions but they were very few and far between until the clan decided to once more step forth, to open their doors and reveal their presence to a world that they had, for so long, forsaken. Now, each child of the Firstborn is given the opportunity to leave their ancient lair, to join others and share their old wisdom and traditions and to carry the name and teachings of the Firstborn. Character details: Personality: Inquisitive, calculated, mischievous, cunning, proud Likes: Anything that sparkles, gold and diamonds, wealth, jewelry Dislikes: Tarnished metal, untidiness and uncleanliness, dirt and dust, close-mindedness Aurum was born in a brood of two with a brother named Viridis. Viridis was your typical male Guardian, strong, proud and unwavering but Aurum... Aurum was different. With a great lust of anything that sparkled and a keen eye for apparel and fashion, Aurum was far from the burly stereotype that many expected of them. The very first hatchling born a Bogsneak, they were fawned over and spoiled from the day they hatched and Aurum reveled in the attention. Aurum always sought to be different, special, unique in their own flamboyant ways and upon reaching adulthood Aurum went as far as to seek a magical item that would allow them to freely change their outward appearing gender. Aurum had always felt that their nature better suited as such and though some had questioned the choice, none opposed it. Aurum was very fond of the family they had, the prestigious blood of which they were born, their mother Fray who was a golden idol so adored and looked up to but when the time came to make the choice, to stay or leave Aurum found them self curious to see what other treasures lay beyond their lair... Perhaps there was a place for them beyond the comfort of their birth clan but one would have to offer a tempting reward a show of wealth... |

The Night-Star Clan had been caught in a war of darkness and light, was left broken and scarred, and despite everything that dragged these dragons down, they rose once more like the very stars in the night sky that they seemed named from. With their rekindled shine came the presence of Aurum. Primarily it was Jinx who drew this glittering gem into their fold, casting off the wealth the Clan had accrued whilst they were busy squabbling and nearly destroying themselves.
"I promise, it will be worth it." Jinx had said, once upon a time, and Aurum left the wealth, a show of good faith, in their previous lair. They followed Jinx, curious about what lay in store for them, and took up residence in a piece of the clan territory where they could bask in the rising of the clan from its darkness to its light.
Jinx was their constant companion, and they shared the same inquisitive, and mischievous spirit, really. At times, Aurum considered leaving, due to the unsteady nature of the Clan, but time and time again Jinx assured them, Just wait, you'll see. Trust me. I promise you, it will be worth it.
That phrase, again and again, that it would be worth it, kept Aurum ever steadily lingering at the fringes of the territory. As things settled down, and the Night-Star Clan seemed to be righting itself and rising once more to its former glory, Aurum waited. They waited, biding their time to see what Jinx was so convinced of, what the clan would become.
In the meantime, they became an unofficial clan treasurer, as Jinx brought them baubles and trinkets to hold onto, amassing an amazing amount of wealth and hoarding it in their own small network of caves that they had expanded on as time went by. More and more tunnels, more and more rooms, all of them bejeweled and glittering.
"Just wait, you'll see ---" Jinx would say each time she brought more and more shiny objects for Aurum to count toward the mass of treasures. "Be patient..."
Questions like "What will I see?" or "When will I see it?" were asked, but never answered with anything more than a mischievous smile from the large imperial.
".. just wait... you'll see..." Jinx would always reply.
And so Aurum waited. Amid the glittering gold and masses of gems, they waited. Playing in the piles and piles of different fabrics, and trinkets, bedecking themselves and the halls around them with the most gorgeous things they had ever seen, they waited.
What they were waiting for, they weren't sure. But in the meantime, they were able to bask in the light of the glinting and glittery treasures around them, and that was enough, for now.
