Biography

» I K U «

remnant | wandering | grandfather

5HmnbMk.png

As one of the eldest remnants on Chloe's side of the caverns, Iku is considered to be a grandfather figure to the others. While the other remnants have their niche, Iku's purpose remains a mystery, as he was Chloe's first attempt at creating a remnant without having a dragon's experience to go by. He can often be found wandering around Sornieth in hopes of finding his spark, remaining patient and hopeful for a purpose to his existence.
The gaoler has tried his hand at many crafts, and while he is able to become decent at each and every one, he never manages to truly master any skill, no matter how much he tries or is taught. Iku is very persistent, sometimes going years focusing on one specific skill, though he would never see any worthwhile improvement, forcing him to move on to the next.

Due to Iku's struggles, one would perceive him to be a bitter old dragon, and though he does sometimes play this role for a laugh, he is actually rather cheery and kind in spite of his circumstances. He is always happy to bring the hatchlings along on his journies and often plays the role of a father or grandfather figure to the remnants. Although he is not a master of anything, he is still able to pass down all the things he's learned over the years to other dragons who can put the knowledge to better use than he can.

tumblr_ph64flyTl71wgebr5o3_250.png As much as Iku tries to stay positive, he can't help but sometimes feel as though his supposed lack of any talent or purpose will weigh on him for the rest of his days. This causes him to be vulnerable to Loyd's influence and has been lured to his side of the cavern numerous times, though his peers are always around to keep him grounded in the end. Even Chloe is unsure if Iku will ever find his purpose, but so long as the skydancer lives, she will always protect and care for her creations, and she will always love Iku as much as she loves the others.
