About Unicorn Obelisks:

- most of the subspecies of obelisk was lost to the damage of time before the few remains of their statue forms were rediscovered in Sorneith
- their statue forms were typically very thinly sculpted stone or inlay (although other natural materials were sometimes used) and were hollow which led to most of them being damaged or destroyed
- very few fully intact unicorn obelisks remain and most surviving ones are amputees, usually having lost part or all of their horns to relic hunters
- the texture (and occasionally color) of their bodies perfectly matches or closely mimics the original material(s) they were crafted from, even in their living forms


Kirin’s details:

- comes from a lost clan of unicorn obelisk
- Kirin’s skin on her body is the texture of finely polished marble and her wings and mane are the texture of smoothly carved sandstone
- she only managed to be lucky enough to escape damage herself due to her coloring closely mimicking the natural environment her statue form had been found in and acting as a natural camouflage to keep her well hidden
